Dr. Leah Garrett, Director of the Jewish Studies Center at Hunter College, will speak about her new book, X-Troop: The Secret Jewish Commandos of World War II. Garett, in conversation with Dr. Amy Weiss, the Maurice Greenberg Chair of Judaic Studies at the University of Hartford, will discuss the experiences of German Jewish refugees who fought in elite British special forces units during World War II.
